FINRA spent $280K lobbying in third quarter

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the securities industry’s self-policing organization, spent $280,000 in the third quarter to lobby on regulation of brokers and investment advisers, and on new rules putting the financial overhaul law into effect, a disclosure report shows. That exceeds the $170,000 that FINRA spent in the third quarter of 2010 and the $250,000 it spent in the second quarter of this year. Read Bloomberg Businessweek report here.
