Hi All –

Now that we’ve survived the oral arguments and the Appellate hearings, we can turn back to some of the legislative issues. Here it goes.

Hardship Claim Survey

NIAP is seeking feedback on Hardship Claims.
We have been hearing from former BLMIS investors that the hardship claims are not being dealt with in a timely or appropriate fashion and are trying to identify if a problem does exist, and what the issues might be.

NIAP TO COURT: TRUSTEE METHODS CONTRADICTING CONGRESSIONAL INTENT

The Network for Investor Action and Protection filed an Amicus Brief with the Second Circuit Court of Appeals telling the court that the methods employed by the Securities Investor Protection Corp. Trustee on the Madoff liquidation run directly counter to Congressional intent, are devastating to victims, and threaten investor protections.
