California SB 157 - Very Important Tax Reform Up For Re-Vote June 15th

California residents: This is a VERY IMPORTANT NEXT STEP FOLLOW UP to our previous posting of May 23rd:

California SB 157 which would amend the California tax code to conform with the Federal Revenue Procedure 2009-20, so that California tax payers could carry back NOL for 5 years. There was a vote in the Governance and Finance Committee on this bill on May 18 and it lost by one vote. However it is eligible for reconsideration and our next best chance will be the Committees meeting on June 15.

We don’t know if SB 157 is on the June 15 agenda but right now would be the time to write to all the committee members and tell them we want them to put it on the agenda and to vote to pass it.

If you could each take the few minutes needed to follow up by writing the proposed letters to each Senator listed below, and then pick 3 or 4 and follow up in person by phone. We might just get this passed June 15th – But it will take a little more of our work and focus for the next few days.

THANK YOU – AND PLEASE CIRCULATE.
