Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, from South Florida’s 18th district, makes two compelling presentations on SIPC and Tax issues of importance to Madoff and other fraud victims. Although supporting the recent Pascrell tax bill (HR5058), we’ve heard that the Congresswoman may be presenting her own legislation in the very near future to restrict clawback, similar to the recent Ackerman legislation (HR 5052). We’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, please thank the Congresswoman for her support and especially encourage her to continue to reach out to her colleagues on both sides of the isle to make the case.
