URGENT CLAWBACK INFO REQUEST

This is a follow-up to the recent Congressional hearings by the House Subcommittee on Capital Markets where several congressmen issued stern rebukes on the Trustee behavior, accusing the Trustee of treating victims like “criminals”. We are looking to quickly assemble cases of inappropriately aggressive behaviors undertaken by the Trustee, as well as the personal impact his inquiries are having. These stories will be kept completely anonymous and used to steer Congress on SIPC reform. We must continue to press Congress to take immediate action to stop clawback of innocent victims
 
Please request that your attorney work with us on this important next step; if he or she expresses resistance, feel free to request that any identifying information be redacted (blacked out). Hopefully, this will give your lawyer – and you – some peace of mind..

Again, this information will be very helpful to motivate Congress to move quickly to stem the Trustee’s adversarial behavior. Many in Congress, including Congressmen Ackerman, King, Garrett, and Klein made it clear that they understand the plight. It is critically important that victims in other Congressional districts share their stories as well and speak up so we, together can move Congress to act. 

Please forward the story of your clawback experience to us as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, October 15^th.

If you visited with the Trustee and/or their attorney, or were contacted by them, how were you treated?

What information did the Trustee and/or their attorney demand from you?

Were you subpoenaed by the Trustee?

Did the Trustee subpoena your bank records, or obtain a credit report without your consent? Explain.

Did the Trustee and/or their attorney provide suggestions as to how to pay the amounts demanded?

Did the Trustee and/or their attorney invalidate the values of funds or accounts transferred? Why?

Is the Trustee and/or their attorney demanding a return of funds withdrawn prior to 2003? Why?

Does the Trustee deem you as being one of the early “Friends of Madoff” or other Fraud?

How are the Trustee and/or their attorney’s behaviors impacting you personally
